Traveling and Reflection

Traveling gives me much needed time to review my dance notes or spend quiet time with my favorite relaxation, watching dance videos! For the first leg of my trip – Oct 2016 JPN/NZ – I chose “FCBD® San Francisco Beledi” which is the live performance at the Victoria Theater in 2002 and behind the scenes. It was awesome to relive the culture of ATS®. The warm characters, the close up / casual style really made me feel like I was experiencing it live. I especially enjoyed the documentary part of the video which focused on explaining the root of ATS® as it was then as it is now. It really does show how Innovative FCBD® is as a dance company. Thanks to all teachers and dancers of ATS® both past and current. I’m happy to be involved with the community and especially proud to be teaching this wonderful dance format. Follow me as I share my journey through ATS® past and present with you all on this blog. Come behind the scenes with FatChanceBellyDance® as we prepare for San Francisco Beledi, live at the Victoria Theater in 2002. San Francisco Beledi chronicles the alchemical mix of rehearsals, planning meetings, costume fittings and the inevitable setbacks that magically transform into the theater. Featuring interviews and candid conversations about the history and philosophy of TribalStyle Bellydance…and find out how we got our name! Enjoy a full dance performance featuring live music by Helm and recorded music by Hamza El Din, Faruk Tekbilek and Mahmoud Fadl. Produced by Morsel Pictures.
